Omega-3: EPA and DHAAccording to the health claims authorised in the European Union, EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart; the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. Premium Omega-3 180 mg EPA + 120 mg DHA contains 300 mg of EPA and DHA per capsule. Premium Omega-3 is a stronger option for larger families or for those who hardly eat any fish. In the Nordic diet, fish is often eaten less frequently than nutrition recommendations advise.
Potassium and blood pressure
Potassium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure and to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal muscle function. Potassium 300 mg provides 15% of the daily reference intake. Vegetables, pulses and fruit are also rich in potassium.
B vitamins and K2Folate (Quatrefolic®) contributes to normal blood formation and to normal homocysteine metabolism. Vitamin K2 contributes to normal blood clotting – if you take blood-thinning medication, talk to your doctor before taking vitamin K. Here you'll also find Magnesium taurate, coenzyme Q10 with virgin olive oil, citrus bergamot and lycopene; no health claims have been authorised in the EU for these substances themselves.
A supplement doesn't replace a healthy lifestyle
What does your heart the most good is exercise, sleep, less salt and a diet rich in vegetables and fish. If you have a diagnosed health condition or take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting a new food supplement.
