Summer, barbecues and holidays – how to keep your stomach in check
For many of us, summer holidays and parties mean changes in our usual eating – and the choices are not always the healthiest. How to keep your digestion in good shape during summer?
1. Stay hydrated
In hot weather, it is especially important to drink enough water. Dehydration can cause digestive problems. Aim for at least 2 litres of water per day, more if you are active or in the heat.
2. Eat fibre-rich foods
Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes keep digestion moving. Even on holiday, try to include these in your meals.
3. Probiotics for gut health
Travel and dietary changes can disrupt gut flora. A probiotic supplement helps maintain the balance of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
4. Don’t overeat at barbecues
Enjoy the grilled food, but remember moderation. Balance heavy grilled meats with fresh salads and vegetables.
5. Support with supplements
Puhdas+ probiotics and digestive enzymes can be helpful companions during summer travel and parties. They support normal digestion even when your diet is different from usual.
Enjoy your summer while keeping your gut happy!
